Air Force Special Operations Commando Solo
A Navy Squadron OASU, VX8 and VXN8 helped developed and set the guidelines required for AirBorne Television and Radio in the 1960's to 1971.
The first aircraft for Commando Solo was a EC-130E air frame modified for PSYOPS. Using the electronic equipment from a retired EC-121S Project Coronet Solo. This aircraft had been used for Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Project Volant Solo was another of the EC-130 J .
The EC-130E was replaced with the EC-130J for Project Commando Solo. This aircraft was later retired in 2006. The some of above was copied from the following web page.
