CBBA 2013 Down the Bay Cruise
The Chesapeake Bay Buyboat Association (CBBA) is made up of the Northern and Southern Fleets. The Northern Fleet is under the command of Captain Kevin Flynn with the Southern Fleet under the command of Captain David Wright. The Fleet currently covers New Jersey to Florida.
Captain Kevin Flynn is the owner of the P. E. Pruitt and keeps her berthed in Rock Hall, Maryland and can be reached at [brokerage@flynnco.com].

2013 Chesapeake Bay Annual Buyboat 10th Annual Homecoming Reunion.
The Down the Bay cruise will start in Urabanna Virginia on Thursday 01 August for the 10th Homecoming Reunion and depart on Sunday the 4th of August for Poquoson, VA. Urbanna will host the 2013 Homecoming Reunion in this waterfront town on the Rappahannock River. The oyster buyboats will be open for the public to come aboard and touch a part of history. Join us pierside at the Urbanna Town Marina on August 2nd and 3rd to see most of the Oyster Buyboats still alive and on the bay
These unique craft that were used to haul seafood and cargo using the Chesapeake Bay waterways before many of the peninsulas were connected by bridges. As the seafood harvest declined and highways became the mode of travel the large graceful buyboats faded from local waters. There are, perhaps, not more than 30 of the oyster buyboats remaining on the Chesapeake Bay.
We will end the 2013 cruise in Tainger Island Virginia on August 12th. Give your thanks to the Port Captains David Rollins and Bill Hight for setting up the 2013 cruise.
The Chesapeake Bay Buyboat Association is comprised of owners and people who share the love of these big boats. The owners maintain and operate the remaining buyboats at their own expense. The owners bring their boats to ports around the Chesapeake Bay each summer so that the public can stand on the decks, touch them and understand their importance in history.

Chesapeake Bay Buyboat Reunions and Homecoming.
2014 (Up the Potomac River to Washington DC.
**2015 (Going North) - Solomons Island, MD for 2014 cruise????, or ??????. Then cruise to northern ports scheduled by Northern Fleet.
2016 (Going South) - Northern and Southern fleets will meet in Tangier Island and cruise to Cape Charles for our 2016 reunion.The buyboats will end up in Urbanna, VA for our 11th Homecoming.
**2017 (Going North) - Solomons Island, MD for 2017 cruise????, or ??????. Then cruise to northern ports scheduled by Northern Fleet.
** Need to lock in 1st port stop so advance planing can start.
